2016级金融MBA毕业生吴永慧于昨日（7月3日）毕业典礼上代表2016届MBA毕业生发表毕业感言，中文版请见后。
Actually, our SAIF journey starts when we answered the question “why MBA why SAIF” during our application. In one way or another, we all chose SAIF as the right place to learn at that time. So we took all the tough courses and stood up late for finales and thesis. We got world-class faculty and a very systematic training in Finance.
But is that all? No, we didn't come here just to learn—which is great, but we could have done that anywhere. We came here because we know that SAIF is going to push ourselves to limit intellectually. And because we know that we are to be surrounded by bright and talented people. So here at SAIF we got out of our comfort zone, we tried things we never did before, we challenged others and get challenged. In these ways, we grew, and reshaped ourselves.
For me, the best surprise in my SAIF journey was what I learned in the course of Finance Ethics, yes the course most of us have learned during our first year here. At first I was puzzled why we were learning about microfinance and socially responsible investing because I didn’t see any such practices in China. But later when I went to MIT, I suddenly found the course super useful—I used what I learned in Finance Ethics to help a Spanish company to evaluate their environmental impacts and find solutions to increase insurance penetration in India. I was ashamed at my previous ignorance and I was also surprised at the visionary education I was getting at SAIF.
Another revelation I got from my experiences with Finance Ethics is that finance is not just about money, it is also about our environment and society. Maybe that’s why SAIF calls itself 金融黄埔. Like the Huangpu Military School used military education to save China one hundred years ago, today SAIF is aiming to use finance to change our society for the better.
各位尊敬的老师、朋友们、家人们，还有我们2016年毕业生们，我是MBA的毕业生代表吴永慧，我非常荣幸能够站在这里跟大家一起回顾一下我们在高金的两年。其实我们的高金生活，从我们为什么选择MBA、为什么选择高金就开始了。
Why MBA？Why SAIF？这是我们当时申请MBA时必须要回答的问题。最后我们都选择了SAIF，选择了这个天时、地利、人和的地方，我们都完成了要求极高的、难度极大的课程学习。最后站在了这里，这是不是终点了呢？
我们在高金不仅仅是来学习的，学习的项目有很多，类似的课程也有很多，但是为什么我们选择高金？因为我们知道高金将我们推向极限，让我们去突破传统的框架，所以我们选择高金就是选择了挑战，而且这是从未有过的挑战。从这个角度而言我们成长了，我们也重塑了自我。
就我个人而言，在整个SAIF过程当中最大的惊喜就是金融伦理课，这是大家在第一年都要学习的一个课程，一开始我也不明白我们为什么要学所谓的微观金融？为什么要去学这个社会责任？但后来我去了MIT后，我突然发现这个课程太有用了。从金融伦理当中所学习到的知识帮助我，从而帮助一家西班牙公司，为他们环境影响做了合理的评估。
另外还有一家互联网公司，也通过我从高金微观金融当中学到的课程知识，我帮助一家公司创立了一个独特的保险产品，加强了他们在印度的保险市场渗透率。回顾当初，我对自己的想法感到羞愧，也为选择高金感到兴奋，这是这个明智的决定。让我明白了，金融不仅是关于钱，还是关于我们的社会。
“金融黄埔，铸就名将天下”。高金的训练让我们专业过硬，挑战自我，同时高金本着研究世界，面向中国的定位，更是要让我们用金融来更好地服务实体经济、服务社会。
